Urgent! Disabled people imprisoned in their own homes and denied everyday freedoms.
There's a hidden care crisis in our country today.
Over 100,000 people – that's like the entire population of Chelmsford or Lincoln – are or risk soon being denied the support they need to dress, wash, cook, work, study or take part in their community. Can you imagine it?
"I often go without a shower or without using catheters for days as I just don't have the energy to manage." – Michelle
"My son has Asperger syndrome. Social services said they couldn't help. They said he could do things like cook, go to the shops. Yet the challenges he faces led to extreme isolation... such significant mental health problems that he was later sectioned." – Sandy
"Not getting the support I need has meant my life is on hold. I have no routine, I feel socially isolated, lonely and of no value to society. I’m only 24 I feel 84" – Emma
We are a proud nation of freedom, fairness and achievement. We staged the greatest Paralympics in the world. But we are also holding back disabled people from leading decent lives.
Today, 69,000 disabled people are at crisis point without even basic care. If Government plans go ahead this year, at least another 36,000 could lose the care and support they currently receive.
Everyone in Britain deserves dignity and the freedom to live their life. Join the campaign for freedom now!
Spread the word!

Call a radio phone-in show!
This is a quick but powerful way to use your voice. Here are just a few simple things to keep in mind when you call:
- If you've used social care yourself or are missing out on care and support, tell your own personal story.
- Whether or not you're affected yourself, you have a right to a say on this. Have a look at the quotes from people's stories above - you can refer to one when you call.
- Tell the facts. More than 100,000 disabled people are or risk soon being denied the care and support they need.
- It's about having a carer to help you do really basic things like wash, get dressed, eat, get out the house and get to work.
- This is totally unacceptable and the Government has to make sure there's care for disabled people who need it.
